We built Receipt Hunter
to end the receipt chase.

Receipt Hunter started with a simple observation: in construction, receipts don’t get lost because people are careless. They get lost because collecting them is nobody’s actual job. A super grabs materials on the way to a job site, the receipt ends up in a truck, and three weeks later someone in the office is texting the whole crew trying to close out the month.

We’re three co-founders with backgrounds in software and business operations. Two of us built software together before, in Ukraine, until the war put that company on pause and brought us to California. The third has spent years running businesses right here in the Sacramento area. We’d watched contractors burn hours every month chasing paper, and watched bookkeepers write off deductions because the documentation never showed up. The tools that existed either wanted bank logins contractors didn’t trust, or were built for office workers who sit next to a scanner.

So we built the thing we couldn’t find: a system that does the chasing itself. It collects receipts from the field, matches them to the right transactions, and keeps QuickBooks audit-ready, without anyone having to remember, remind, or nag.
